#March has always been a special month for me!
This year, it has been even more spectacular with two amazing events I got to be a part of:
On March 8th, I competed in the Bridging the Gap first annual Hackathon with my beloved team from the Professional Marketing Association. We worked together under time constraints to produce outstanding solutions for a business problem proposed by the Boston Celtics and Vista. Through a lot of anxiety and laughter (it is always fun to be on a team with your friends!) on a sunny Friday morning, our team won first place, bringing home the prize! Thank you to Rebecca Y., Isabelle Slocum, Grace Wang, Hope Miller, and Mateus Cezario - my always incredible teammates! You guys made the experience all the merrier and memorable.
Yesterday, I was a part of a team competing in the Design-A-Thon competition hosted by the Suffolk University Center for Entrepreneurship. It was an intensive 7-hour process where we brainstormed, designed, and refined our UI layouts to address Fetch’s proposed business challenge. We definitely had a lot of creative fun competing against 10 other teams.
Thank you, Emily (Rich) Smallwood, for your assistance throughout the day! We would never have been able to come up with our designs without your professional input. Shoutout to Professor Hasan Arslan - Your confidence in us helped us pull through to the end.
Finally, thank you to my teammates, James Clarke, Anshuman Agrawal, Ivan Zhou, Jayanny Oliveira, and Mohammed Al-tal! Teamwork definitely makes the dream work.
